A 4th generation chief officer. Served in the City of San Jose Fire Department, the 10th largest city in the United States, with an extensive emergency response background from 32 years of public safety service. Served in several positions of the fire department, and as a chief officer, managed emergencies involving wildland fires, aircraft emergencies, structural firefighting, technical rescue, and fires and rescues involving utilities. Also served as liaison, in both routine and emergency situations, working closely with utility companies, law enforcement, state authorities, and Emergency Response Teams within hi-tech companies. Paul is also a California State Certified Instructor with over twenty years of experience.

Paul has experience in collaborating with Safety Managers of various companies, with the ultimate goal of providing the appropriate programs, services, and/or resources in the areas of Wildfire Prevention, Industrial Fire Brigade, Technical Rescue, and Workplace Safety and Training.

As a former logistics chief post retirement from San Jose, Paul was responsible for all facilities, fleet, equipment, inventory, maintenance, repairs and managing vendor relationships. A team member of Senior Staff, working collaboratively to ensure the organization continued to maintain all administrative and operational aspects of the business effectively, and prepared to meet the challenges of current and future growth.

Paul is Co-Founder of, one of the first ever online fire service resources on the Internet which was launched in 2001. Fire Nuggets, was created by Firefighters for Firefighters providing "Nuggets" of information and intended to assist in "keeping firefighters" and other "emergency responders" safe. Sponsored, organized and facilitated seminars all over the United States. Fire Nuggets continues to flourish under different leadership.
